Happiness Bubble 7 - Give to Yourself (Meditate)

In Lisa Smith's plan
Goal: 10 Steps to a Happy Life

Timing:1 times per Day

Description:

Within each of us, there is something special that can only be unlocked if we aim for happiness. You need to give to yourself.

  1. It’s a difficult task to do properly but get a clean piece of paper and write your name at the top. Underneath, I want you to write down three things: one, who you are; two, what your main goals in life are (keep it to five things maximum); and three, why you are amazing.
  2. Sit down, close your eyes, and think about what you want from life. Once you have mastered the art of meditation, try and make it regular with the same time every day.
  3. Close your eyes for five minutes and think about yourself. If you are reading this in public, look down and close your eyes for an instance. No one will notice. Think about you and why you are amazing. Remember, if you are amazing, you can help others be amazing too.

Please refer to the book for more details on this activity.

I remembered I first tried it in ma college. It was something I never thought actually works - but it does wonderfully. Now I do it every morning. It started with 5 minutes, now for 30.

I visualize myself doing what I love to nd it make the medittion more easier and longer. This time, I get motivated from within. I feel energized and happy.

I have tried mantra meditation earlier but this is something new and I loved it. I didn't know but I actually meditated for around 15 minutes without losing my focus.

I can do it only for 10 minutes. I set a timer before I do so - otherwise I would simply give up in a couple of minutes. Such a restless person I am.
