About Me: Bonjour, I’m a simple man working in a Personal Financial Advisory firm. Trust me, it is never that easy. But I believe simplicity lies in the approach. Amour!!!
Choose a word that will guide you for the rest of the day. It sounds very simple, but when you choose a word that will guide you through the day, it shapes your lens of how the day goes. Decide how you want your day to go. Pick a word like “fun,” “ease,” “relaxing,” or whatever you feel called to choose. As you go throughout your day, when things come up, ask how you can apply your word to it.
EFT, also known as “tapping,” is a healing tool that can provide immediate shifts in physical, emotional, and performance issues. See, in acupuncture, they talk about how there are 14 meridians in our body that are “energy pathways.” This is where all negative emotions are stored in our body. And with EFT, short for Emotional Freedom Technique, you can simply tap on those meridians and start to unlock those emotions.
You might take a few minutes to journal about whatever’s going on in your life, or about what would make the rest of your day great. Sometimes getting all of your thoughts onto paper can help you clear out a lot of overwhelm sitting in your body, and help you start the day with a fresher slate.
If you’re usually perpetually overwhelmed, consider doing absolutely nothing for a few minutes.
If you believe in a higher power, spend some time praying. This will be especially helpful if you feel as if you haven’t been as connected to your spirituality as you’d like lately.
You can sit in silence, full-on meditate, or even just breathe certain words in and out. For example, maybe every time you take a deep breath in, you visualize bringing happiness into your all of your cells, and when you breathe out, you think about letting go of any stress in your body.
Listen to a few minutes of an audiobook or podcast that inspires you. You might even listen to it the whole time you’re getting ready.
Even if you cut that to 5 minutes a day, you’re still reading 9 books at the end of the year.
Take a moment and just feel your shoulders, your hands, your stomach, and go all the way down your body until you feel your feet touching the ground. Think about what’s underneath you - a floor, soil, the earth, etc… - and think about how it’s supporting you and your body. When you’re able to focus on how your body feels, it helps remind you that you even have a body.
Please refer to the book for more details on this activity.
Today, my guiding word is 'compassion'. Sometimes it makes me wonder who we are... There is no compassion, empathy left in human beings these days.
It's Saturday and the work that would guide my day would be "Relaxed"
Sundays are the preparation day for me.. It is onl today when I can shed the tiredness of the last weak and gain new energy for the coming one.
I have started to write my journal.. A chest of all the memories.
Focus on what they would feel like, sound like, taste like, and who would be involved. The more visceral the image you make in your mind, the more you can start to tune your subconscious to make it happen.
Read books or emails from newsletters that inspire you. One of my absolute favorite quotes from Zig Ziglar is: “People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily.”
Think of someone who you respect and either ask yourself what they would do in a certain situation, or you can even have a mental conversation with them. Imagine you were sitting at a table with them and think about how they would respond.
First thing in the morning is one of the best times to tap into your intuition. When you first wake up, you haven’t yet been interrupted by the day’s demands, and nothing is clouding your mind. Another great thing you can do is, before you go to bed; ask your subconscious to help you make a decision on something you’d like clarity around. When you wake up, immediately write down what comes to you.
If there’s something you’ve been feeling stressed about, think about the grand scheme of how it will play out in your life. Consider where you are right now. Ask yourself how big this problem will be for you in five years, three years, or even six months’ time.
Okay I have something on my mind that I want to clearify... So I am trying to tune my intuition today.. Now hitting my bed!
Help make people less self-centered, improve self-esteem, reduce feelings of envy, and just make you feel happier. It’s pretty powerful - and very easy to incorporate into your life.
When you can think back to the first time you ever made a decision about something, it will often unhook the power of it and start to unravel any other time you made that same call. You can quickly eliminate limiting beliefs by doing this. The Ho’oponopono exercise helps you find those decisions and unhook them.
This exercise work - at least I got a chance to revisit my old memories and forgive myself for my wrongs.
#BeGrateful
I am grateful for the sunshine, and birds chirping outside my window.
I am gateful for having my loved ones beside me.
I am grateful... :)
If you operate from the assumption that all the things in your life that you really don’t have to deal with. Ask yourself, for anything that isn’t feeling optimal in your life, how you can make them better.
Make a list of things that you’re doing that you’re ready to stop. Some things you might add to yours: stopping complaining, procrastinating, going to bed after 10pm, gossiping about someone, blaming your mother, eating after 9pm.
This is great a stop-doing list. Ummm... I better stop being so sensitive for everyone.
I do have a problem solving mindset for I tend to find the good in every problem and a hidden solution. But, I think I need to enhance my skills and mindset so discovered these 5 practices.
Our mindset is our attitude towards life. Giving up when faced an unwanted upreditable situation doesn't work. I always try to do so.
I heard it so manytimes. People saying "Don't come with a problem. Come with a solution as well". Luckily, I had this in myself from being a kid - whether is was to fetch the ball from the top shelf or getting my projects done. Dad told me, don't sit because you are stuck. Look for the way out".
Story Cubes are a bunch of dice with random pictures on every side. You roll the dice, see what pictures come up, and come up with a story that links all the pictures that you rolled.
Probably I am not creative in my life. I am very basic and a bit boring as well when it comes to my room decor or clothing. I really cannot grasp the idea of being creative. This is a very strong word for me but I like things simple and sober. I don't know how being creative help me but I will try.
Just came across boredpanda and wow the hacks are so so cretive. I tried a couple of things shown. Though it didn't turn up great, but it wa creative and I was really happy!
I am too bad at it! Wish if there is something else to improve my creativity which is almost ZERO! Can you help me fellow melearners?
If you normally say “no” to things, make it a fun exercise to say “yes” to things you might ordinarily not. Go to a class you wouldn’t normally go to, take a road trip that you’ve been fantasizing about, or hang out with someone who’s not someone you’d normally spend time with.
In your 5 minutes every day, you can do something that you think someone would say no to. Maybe you submit your articles to publications, ask for a discount somewhere, ask someone on a date, ask for a raise, ask someone to mentor you. There are all kinds of things you can do.
So I am going to do one thing everyday that I generally can't or don't do.
You could thank someone for something big, like always being a great friend to you, or for something small like “Thank you for bringing in cookies to work yesterday.”
You can let them know that they don’t need to respond if they’re busy, but they’re in your mind and you wanted to say hello. You might even let them know a few things you appreciate about them in the email.
If you have a full life, have a regular 5-minute call where you and a friend get to spend 2.5 minutes each sharing about what’s going on for them. Set a timer if you need to. This can be something you do every day, every other day, or once a week.
If you take a while to respond to people like I do, you might take a set amount of time every day to respond to any outstanding messages.
Got an email from an old friend Pete. We went to the uni together. It was nostalgic for sure. I got reply him back.. For the first time, I am excited to write an email.
Few of my friends shifted to other cities for work. Finally, we came up together. We were all sick and tired off our mindless taret chasing life. We contacted each other on facebook and now going to meet them tonight!
My friend gone on ship working. He ranged me today. Had a nice 5 minutes conversation. It felt nice to hear from him after a year!
If you’re normally stressed in the mornings, take some time to play with your pet instead. It will make both of you feel better.
Do something nice for someone. Leave a review on Yelp, or go on Twitter and post something nice about somebody in a public way.
In a normally stressful morning, it might make everyone feel better if you do something that’s fun. Maybe you dance to a song together, make funny faces, or say funny words.
You can put a Post-It with a compliment on their computer, make them a morning smoothie, or write them a note and put it in their wallet. Maybe you even create a dry-erase board where every day, you write down a new reason why you love them. Ask yourself what would make them happy, then do it.
It was notexactly kind but fun.. It's her birthday and am planning a treasure hunt...
I was out with my dog... then back home I planned to be with him play and cuddle. He prefers to be a lap dog though he won't fit. But who cares! We both enjoy it.
I love dogs... I have a connection with them - they know am a friend. Sometime, I help and work with rescue groups. It feels nice and heartwarming to give someone a life that they deserve.
I got five cats and 2 kittens. I love playing with them and the way they cuddle up near me.. they cheer me up anytime.
You might decide to have rules around certain necessary tasks in your house so that things go more smoothly. When you have rules and order to who does what, things get done more easily and with a lot less resentment.
Until I moved out, there were a set of house rules that I needed to follow now there are none. I am living alone. But I am alone. A friend from my hometown is shifting to the city. He would be staying with me so now it's time to set some rules. Checking out the familyshare tips.
Not sure what rules should I set for my house... but finally.. I set a couple to exercise some discipline in my life..
Dusting, Laundry all of these happensevery alternative day..
If you’re in a situation where someone is frustrating you, take time to look through their lens. Empathy is a great thing and can dissolve a lot of arguments.
It's one of the impossible things is to accept things that I have refused for my life.. Trying to look through my mom's eye trying to accept.
It is a gloomy thing to be done.. What is cool for me isn't that cool at all.
If you didn’t do it the night before, take time to identify the 3 biggest things you’d like to accomplish by the day’s end. Mentally review them so you have a clear plan for the day. When you set your day up with a few major focuses, you’ll make progress on your goals versus letting your day be dictated by what comes in front of you.
If you have any meetings or phone calls set up for your day, take a few minutes to set up agendas for them. When you can clearly tell people what the focus of a meeting will be, there will be less time for mindless chatter as well as increased focus and efficiency.
I m using goalist to do this. It helps in two ways.. both goals and checklist remimder. I am at right pace!!
Take a minute to block your computer from letting you go onto sites like Facebook, Twitter, or your email account so you can focus on your most important tasks of the day without interruption.
If you have a Mac, there’s a free app you can find at http:// www.SelfControl.com for this. If you have a PC, go to http:// www.FocalFilter.com for your free app. With both apps, you just identify the sites you want to block yourself from and for how long you’d like to be blocked for.
If you’re afraid to start a task that you know you want to get done because it feels overwhelming, that means that it hasn’t been broken down enough. Take any task you want to accomplish and start to simplify it to the easiest levels possible.
If you go onto http:// rachelrofe.com/ kindle, you can download my favorite productivity tool for free. To use it, you set up all the tasks you’d like to accomplish for the day along with how long you think it will take you to finish them.
Take a minute to think about what you need to get done. Is there anything you can delegate? Maybe you can hire someone on Fiverr.com or use someone on MyFancyHands.com to accomplish something for you. Maybe you can put an ad up on oDesk.com or elance.com. If there are ways you can outsource work in a way that’s cost efficient for you, get it off your plate and focus on your core strengths.
I have been strictly following these smart working tips for the last six months. While my work load has escalated, so did I got smarter. That is the reason, I am still continuing to meet the tagets given to me. Well, I have taken a marketing job in December. Feeling bad, I got so held up with my work that I couldn't follow my courses for such a long time.
I just got the plan ready for the surprise party for my girl. Called all her family and friends. Ordered the cake... food and decor I got some great help from her mom and sis. Best part, she thinks am out of town won't be there on her day!
You might want to take a few minutes every day to recap what happened for you the day before. You can celebrate any wins and account for anything that you need to course correct.
For me... Well I didn't notice it but yes there have been certain changes. And it has been well recognized by my buddies
It was a fruitful day yesterday. however, I could only accomplish 90% of my To-Do list. I have just started my day today early and decided to give an hour now and in the evening to yesterday's unfinished task.
I reviewed last day, I realized I failed at manythings. Couldn't perform as I was supposed to. I will make a note I will give it 5 minutes at the end of the day and write it down!
Will be starting tomorrow with fresh energy - rectify my mistakes.
Having an accountability partner is another excellent way to ensure that you gain and keep momentum on your goals. You might consider finding an accountability buddy or a small group of people with whom you share progress every day. This may help push you on days where you’d rather not work.
I tried emailing my friends several times. I tried getting in touch with them telling them what I have done but sometimes it feels so weird I feel like am just bragging about myself. And to be honest, in today's world who cares what do your friend is doing - he has achieved. You really need to have somebody who really cares about you and wants to listen to you, appreciate what you have achieved. I guess I have no friends like that.
I emailed an old friend on mine. Paul. We were in University together. Sharing memories itself was an achievement . Found some creative ideas of emailing here. This was something funny - the missing element of our life. It is a personal goal to bring back some fun. I just got it back.
Send a Twitter message to 1-3 people you want to connect with. If you’re in business for yourself and want to connect with some industry leaders, send a (considerate, intelligent) message to 1-3 people you’d love to get to know. If people start seeing your name every day, they’ll eventually click over to your bio, and it could be a great breeding ground for relationships. Obviously this isn’t guaranteed, but it could be worth trying.
You might take 5 minutes to skim through an RSS feed of top blogs in your industry. Skim through the headlines to get a feel for what’s going on without letting it suck up hours of your time.
If you own a business or want to, creating content is VERY helpful. The more great content you put out there, the more opportunities you give people to learn about you. And when you help people learn things they didn’t know about, they naturally want to know more about you and do business with you. That said, you can take 5 minutes every day to create a short, info-packed video.
Gosh... I missed this lesson for so long. Yes, I do follow others but never thought og doing it for myself. Great Idea!
If you’re feeling overwhelmed or anxious about everything that’s on your plate, take a few minutes to write out everything that’s swimming in your head. You’ll likely be amazed to see that when things are on paper, they’re never as bad as they are in your head. Having a list of things on paper also feels a lot more manageable, because then you can start to create a plan to tackle each thing one by one.
Though it is a morning ritual but I do it in the night so I can have a good night sleep. Basically I maintain a diary where I write down all my Negative-positive events of the day and try to work out the issues faced.
It helps me a lot to start the next day with some positive energy.
The way we dump the broken, wasted, unwanted stuffs in the garaged we need to do the same with out thoughts and emotions. Dump the fear, stress, and anxiety. Simplicity is the best rule.
Take a few minutes every day to do squats or push-ups. See if you can beat however many you did the day before. You might also do a minute of the plank exercise, working your way up to 3-5 minutes at a time.
Set a timer for 5 minutes to do some deep breathing. This will help calm your nervous system and give you a sense of inner peace, even if there is a lot of other chaos going on around you.
If your eyesight isn’t so stellar, there are all kinds of eye exercises you can do to get better eyesight.

Sometimes it feels really nice to do some stretches first thing in the morning. It’s a great way to feel connected to your body, to relieve any tension, and to get energized for the day ahead.
Either walk around your block, or, depending on how big it is, walk in general for 5 minutes outside.
This is a fun exercise you can do to bring you back to being a kid again. It also has all kinds of health benefits, including weight loss, overall cardiovascular health, and increasing your muscle tone.
If you’ve been meaning to go the gym more, pack your gym bag now. If you have a bag full of everything you need ready to go, it’s a lot more likely that you’ll stop by than if you keep telling yourself you “should” do it but are not prepared to do so.
I got this great idea from Ginny Johnson of http:// www.urbananimalwellness.com/. Go onto your gym’s website, either daily or once a week, and find classes that you’d like to go to. Put them in your calendar so that they’re as important as phone calls or meetings. Give yourself bonus points if you quickly email your friends to tell them which classes you’re going to, so that you have exercise AND social time.
Give yourself a few extra minutes to walk into work from a further parking spot. Not only will you get in some exercise, but research shows that if you take a 5-minute walk for every hour you spend sitting, the terrible long-term effects of sitting all the time will actually be canceled out. By parking further away, you effortlessly get two 5-minute walks in - one on the way to work, one on the way out.
Instead of parking away, I sometimes opt for cycling. It really do helps plus saves me some money.
Taking the stairs too is a great workout and a substitute for crosstrainer ....
Nice and clever idea to burn some calories! However, one needs to be really sincere to follow this. As for me, I never miss the chance to work out. In fact, most of the time I cycle around or longboard to my work.
These quick workouts are really amazing.. Try a few of them!!
Those who doesn't depend much on machines and do things manually... it is much of a workout.
I do this all the time. In fact those who come to me to lose a few punds, I suggest them as well. I have seen people scared of working out - as a rule. It has to be fun - so some tricks... Really helpful..
Drink 16 oz (or more) of water when you first wake up in the morning. If you put an oversized glass of water on your nightstand next to your bed, you can do this first thing in the morning. This will help start hydrating you and giving you a lot of energy.
Figure out what you want for snacks, lunch, and dinner later. When you have healthy choices in mind, you’ll know exactly what to do when lunch or dinner time comes, versus operating from an in-the-moment decision designed to give you immediate gratification.
The best breakfast routines are ones where you eat the same type of thing every day, but employ a little bit of variety.
Smoothies are incredibly quick to make. You can either make one in 5 minutes, or if you prefer, have your ingredients cut-up and ready to be thrown into the blender the night before.
You can either make a mug of tea from bagged tea, or learn to custom-blend your own teas according to whatever is going on in your life.
Set yourself up for success by having healthy snacks with you for your day ahead. You can pack all kinds of things. Some ideas are: fruit, a baggie of almonds, carrots, celery, portable peanut butter or almond butter packs, Lara bars, YouBars, Kind bars, or hard boiled eggs.
Slow cooked meals are one of the easiest ways to make sure that you can have delicious, healthy meals without having to spend a ton of time cooking.
I have always been so messed up.. But it's decided now I would be keeping everything sorted. My home, life, schedule even the devil mind!
Glass of water: 12.
Planned meal: less fat, more nutrients, oats to fill me up.
One of the most beneficial things I’ve ever done, thanks to Ginny Johnson of http:// www.urbananimalwellness.com, was to track how I felt before and after I ate foods.
How it works is that you rate your hunger from a 1-10 before and about 45 minutes after you eat, and also how you feel physically and emotionally before and after eating foods. If you can do this for ALL of your meals throughout the day, even better. You may start to notice, as I did, that you consistently feel tired after you eat certain foods, even though you would have never imagined that would be.
Although they’re quite unenjoyable, hot/ cold showers (where you alternate between having hot water for a minute, then cold, then hot, etc, for a few minutes, always ending on cold water) are really great for you health-wise.
As I talked about with my morning routine, dry brushing can be really beneficial. To dry brush, use a natural bristled brush and brush through your body, starting with the soles of your feet. Make circular strokes towards your heart. When you get to your stomach, go clockwise (which mimics the movement of your colon). Do this for 3-5 minutes until your skin is rosy and a little tingly. If you shower afterwards, your dead skin cells will wash off.
Many experts rave about oil pulling as a great way to pull toxic compounds out of your mouth, get whiter teeth, healthier gums, and prevent bad breath. Some people say that it even helps with cavities. How it works is that you swish oil (often coconut oil or sesame oil) in your mouth for a minimum of five minutes. Don’t worry - it gets much easier and tasteless after a minute or so. When you’re done, spit out the oil, and then brush your teeth (preferably with a different toothbrush than you normally use).
Take some time to cleanse, exfoliate, and/ or apply a moisturizer on your face. This will help your skin and also help you feel extra-clean throughout the day. You can also spend the extra time flossing.
Coconut oil it an organic substitute of mouthwash with so many benefits. I haven't tried it yet, but I am going to do it today with some coconut oil.
Never devoted much time to my face! That's why I got aweful blackheads! Now I am exfoliating, cleansing and moisturizing!
Give yourself a massage with a tennis ball.
If there are any areas of tension in your body, you can take a tennis ball, put it against the floor or wall, and rub your area of tension against the ball. This is known as “trigger point therapy,” and can be surprisingly effective. For example, you might put a tennis ball on the floor and rub your back around the ball to get a knot out. You can do this for any area of your body where you have a knot.
Use some essential oils.
Essential oils are herbal extracts that are used throughout the world as natural medicine.
Orgasm.
Orgasms help you boost infection fighting cells by up to 20%, increase oxytocin (a chemical that’s linked to bonding and overall success), boost your endorphins, spike DHEA levels in your body (which improve brain function, balance the immune system, and help with healthy skin), can cure migraines, relieve stress, increase your pain threshold, and one study shows that people who have more orgasms can even live longer. If you’re a woman, orgasms have been shown to increase your fertility rates and help with your estrogen levels.
Got a steam bath ... and a spa. It was so relaxing. I never knew how badly I needed it...
One really neat way to give a boost to your brain cells is to use your non-dominant hand on tasks normally reserved for your “go-to” hand.
I am left-handed... Started my day with right hand- brushed my teeth, combed .. It is time-consuming and uncomfortable to use my other hand!
A rebounder is a small trampoline that has zillions of health benefits, besides being really fun.
After a very long time today, I have hit the gym. I got my membership renewed. It was a shock to see how flabby I got. Need to work so much on myself now. Moreover, I pretty low in the morning hoours these days so today I tried rebounder exercise. Got myself pumped up. If you are not sure what it is, then here, is video down below.
w:
I tried this trampoline rebound activity... If nothing else but it pumped up my heart and made me hungy.
Trampoline is a new form of workout as well. If done cautiously, anyone gat get several health benefits without getting hurt.
If it’s light out when you wake up, go spend a few minutes in the sun. This boosts your seratonin, helps you get outside in nature, and gives you much-needed Vitamin D.
The sun isn't just responsible for getting a tan but there are so many heath benefits and vitamin D is the most important of all. I had reduced my outdoor activities in the last few months and now facing the consequences. I hhave do it religiously now.
Somebody told me to actually go out in sun for 15 to 30 minutes every day. It took me 1 month to get my level up again! Now, I am wondering why did I got for the shots even.
I am getting shots of Vit D3 now - I better get started with my morning jog again.
I have done few blood tests. Found I have Vitamin D deficiency. So going out on a run in the park in the mornings.
A quick run in the morning hours. Nothing compares it. Refreshed and feeling more energetic.
If you know there are some supplements or green drinks you could/ should be taking, but you keep forgetting, make it a habit to take them every day. If you’re taking supplements, you can put the jars near your toothpaste so you see them every morning, or near your coffee machine, or in plain sight on your counter. For the greens powder or wheatgrass, put a cup somewhere that you’ll see every morning, and designate it for the drink or shot. When you see the cup, you’ll be reminded to get to action.
Work on an art project that brings out the kid in you. Even if you can’t finish an entire project in 5 minutes, you can certainly work on it. Maybe you draw, or apply glitter glue to mason jars, or paint rocks.
If you’re into it, knitting can be a really fun way.
Not only will it make YOU feel better, but it might also perk up other people around you.
Do something that totally delights you just for the fun of it. Depending on the weather you can blow bubbles, use a squirt gun, make snow angels, play in the rain, swing on a swing, go down a slide, or jump in leaves, just for starters.
Music can be a total mood-shifter for people, and there are all kinds of benefits to it. It activates both sides of your brain and can be a really excellent stress reliever. If you don’t know how to sing, there’s a great site called InspiredToSing.com that has a lot of free lessons. There are also tons of YouTube videos on both singing and learning new instruments.
Maybe you know a song that you love off the top of your head, or you can go onto http:// www.Spotify.com and do a search for other peoples’ playlists. Pick a song, dance like nobody’s watching, and have a blast! Sometimes it’s also fun to dance in a pitch black room, so you really have no reservations.
Watching "HOME"..
Either do a search for a funny video, or pick a week’s worth of funny videos in advance.
Take a few minutes to read something that lights you up, even if it does absolutely nothing for your productivity or pride. Read a gossip magazine, go on PerezHilton.com, or anything that makes you feel really good - no matter what other people might think.
One of the easiest ways to feel happy is to reconnect with great memories that you have. Look at some pictures you have that bring you back to happy times.
Take some time to acknowledge yourself for things you’re proud of. It could be about things you did the day before, or even in general. “Bragging” will help you remember all of the things you’re capable of, and help you approach the world a little more confidently.
This is probably the funniest part of my life.More than anything else, I actually enjoy doing it I feel relaxed and it kind of cheer me up if I had a hard day.
Bragging??? To start with, I am really good at workout and physical transformation. I myself lost more than 150 pounds in 9 months.
I am good with animals and pets!
I think I am a survivor.
Take some time to put a great smelling, moisturizing lotion on your body. You’ll get to enjoy soft skin, a scent you like, and the experience of slowing down and taking care of yourself.
Use a personal massage tool to give yourself a massage around your feet, neck, or any problem areas.
Getting into your senses can be one a great way to experience pleasure. Light a candle that smells absolutely delicious to you, and enjoy the scent as you get ready for your day. This can help you feel more grounded, add some warmth to an otherwise hectic morning, and remind you to slow down.
If it’s a little cold outside, one easy pleasure can be just putting your clothes into the dryer before you put them on, so they’re nice and toasty. It’s just a simple way to feel soothed and warm.
Multi-bestselling author Tim Ferriss said once he was feeling like he had no control over anything. Someone gave him the advice to just make his bed every day, so that he had control over at least ONE thing.
Going for a warm shower then would get a new hair cut.. Pampering myself today.
Making eye contact is a fabulous way to boost oxytocin, a “feel good” chemical in our bodies. Take a few minutes to really listen and be present with someone in your life - your partner, children, or neighbor. You’ll feel better and more connected.
Take care of something that’s unfinished, like washing dirty dishes or putting away laundry. Taking a few minutes to tighten up loose ends on any projects can feel really good.
Spend 5 minutes a day working on a specific area. Maybe you start in the kitchen and you work on one drawer a day. Or, maybe you start in your bedroom and clean up one shelf a day.
Again, small actions add up to big ones over time.
Don't know when did I last cleaned up my room! Seems like it is going to take up my entire day!
It was a mess around.. There was wind and all the ldry leaves and dust flooded my room. There is a thick layer of dust on my computer screen. That is really horrible.
Busy dusting my room!
Take 5 minutes to get rid of something new each day. There are all kinds of things taking up space in your psyche that you can delete.
I just gave up 10 tshirts. I loved those from my uni days but I don't fit into them anymore. Just because of memories, I was holding back them. But I had to throw them. Got some space available in my wardrobe now!
As you get rid of things, or even just through every day life, you may need to buy some replacements. Instead of trying to remember everything on your own, keep a list of everything you need to replace. It might be food, certain clothing items, grooming items, and so on.
Increased intake of alcohol will increase risk for alcohol related diseases. Additionally, it’s very important to realize that alcohol by itself is a ‘depressive’ – while it may make you feel better momentarily; it’s doing a lot more harm in the long run.
Please refer to the blog for more details on this activity.
There is no discrimanation between a man or a woman. Even women get depressed and some turn to booze. Good thing I don't like it much. But I have ice cream and dark chocolate - lately I have put on weight as well. Now that is making me depressed!
This chapter is closed for me for forever.
Since, I am getting back to my healthy lifestyle now as I got over the depression part.. after so many doctor consultations and all... Finally! I have decided to never to turn back to the booze.. You can say it is my new year resolution as well ... but.. I am going to stick to it.
I have controlled boozing!! So less headaches now and noticed I am less depressed. Now I realize it never actually helped me!
Boozing is never a solution. Not just for men, I see many women too drowning themselves in drinks. Even, I tried sinking several times. It never solved my problem, instead gave me a horrible hangover next morning.
I actually turn to booze whenever, I am depressed. I suppose, I was doing the wrong thing. Putting a check on my alcohol consumption.
Your diet must consist of sensible carbohydrates that can stimulate the production of Serotonin.
Absolutely.!!
It helps me a lot. From the time, I started eating properly, my digestion improved. I didnt notice it earlier but I am less stressed these days - more in control of my life and situations.
I am on Keto Diet these days and doing good. Initially, it was very hard for me but now I got it right. No carbs at all. I am actually feeling pretty healthy and fit these days and skin is glowing.
As I eat fresh and organic food, I feel good and energetic. We need to eat healthy to be healthy.
These days, I am pretty careful about my food. I am cooking oil-free in Phillips AirFrier. It's awesome! Tomorrow, I will be making beef steak and chips!
I have always maintained a healthy diet, lots of healthy and llean meat, vegetables, fruits, nuts! It is my top priority, also it helps me to stay in good mood.
Instant de-stressing food to eat by lifehack.org.Personally. I love the #7 food item!
JUst having lots oof fresh fruits.. and no coffee.
Made a note of what should I eat and what not. I just ordered a veg burger and lemon tea in the lunch today.
Any aerobic activity – be it walking, jogging, cycling or swimming can stimulate chemicals in the brain that combat stress, anxiety and moodiness. Don’t deny that there is a problem; rather accept the fact that you are depressed and take necessary action. Consult a doctor if necessary.
A high-impact cardio followed by a steam bath works amazingly for women! Tried and tested stress-buster! did anyone else try it?
Whenever, I miss my morning jog I actually do the dance carido routine. I saw one on youtube. However, it was a 40 minutes vedios I could only do for 15 minutes. What a result!!
Walking under the open sky lets the fresh air into my head. Really feels good.
When stressed, I take deep breath and take a walk in open. Fresh air unblocks mind.
Getting back to workout. An active life makes me so happy.
My doctor wanted me to get moving and again meditate.............. It's so crazy!
Even my doctor suggested me to get more physically active. I am still confused..I have started taking anti-depressants. But I know I can't take that lifelong. I have no answer what exactly I should do.. I get home very late, and whenever I am home its mostly depressing. I even try not to return back.
I must try doing some activity... I have become too much of lazy these days.
I used sit down in front of the T.V. with some drinks. I will go for a walk next time I am depressed.
Most men ignore the initial symptoms of depression, dealing with it either by drinking or simply becoming more aggressive in general. Take healthy measures to try and fight your negative feelings. If you don’t find any relief in your symptoms even after trying the above mentioned tips for 2 weeks, its best to book a doctor’s appointment.
I came across a lupus-depression article which was focused on depression in people with chronic ailments. I wonder, how they are coping up with it - I faced nothing as compared to what they are dealing with. I am definitely going to win over it. #StayingPositive
I am really happy, that finally I am free of my depression. But I must do it the right way now. Even, my doctor mentined that if I don't work it out myself next time it could be worse than this.
It's been a week now I am seeing the doctor. It is good but not much. Doctor says I need to meditate and calm down. Still having difficulty to sleep!
The biggest blunder of my life. I ignored my headaches thoughts its migraine. Finally consulted a doctor.
When you are in the flow, never do anything in one turn, keep a piece of work for later, but “contaminated” with the positive energy that started the whole lot. When you are doing stuff enthusiastically, you tend to consume everything, to live it totally and end up tired and somehow empty. Allow yourself “to be continued” in another episode of the same movie… In terms of GTD it might translate as a “Someday/Maybe” promise that you will actually enjoy to do and enjoy to see when you are doing your weekly reviews.
So right! I kind of experimented this one - to make sure it does what it says. Here goes my experiment. Last night I was lil' bored - so I got a thriller book Hide & Seek by Ian Rankin out the shelf ( I bought it recently but did get a chance tostart reading). So it took me around 45 pages - then I got very much into it. I was living in the story witnessing how Rebus is checking out the crime scene. I read 15 minutes more and when I was totally "can't-put-it-down" situation. I closed it and went to sleep. It help me sleep better - I felt the enthusiasm gave me a good night sleep. Then in the morning I am so excited, eager to return to the book. I am doing all my chores with much enthusiasm!
It really worked!
This is lovely!!! I would surely try this piece of advice! :)
I have never been adviced to keep a portion of the task for later! But wow! I always felt like lets finish it later but now..Seems like I'm already excited!
Enjoy as much as you can what you do. The higher the pleasure you take from doing your stuff, the easier to remember. Each action resulted from enthusiastic processing it’s actually a positive milestone in your brain, a positive memory that can easily be reproduced, or at least used as a “state-igniter” in other contexts.
I am bad at it that too very horribly. For this reason I prefer doing jobs that has short projects, exciting ones too.
My job gets monotonous at time but I can't drop it. Sometime I don't enjoy it get bored - STUCK! I am doing a desk job there is no challenges no creativity in it. What to do?
I generally have very less enthusiasm in my tasks. But, if I lose interest in everything like this - life will be a burden. So I started spicing up things. I have subscribed to 5-Minutes Craft Youtube Channel. It is getting interesting. I am learning new ways of doing old things. Now I look forward to a chore. :)
I love and enjoy what I do. It really keeps me going on.
I really do believe it right from the bottom of my heart. Whether it is a relationship or a writing, it must from inside.... I should be enjoying it if not then there is something wrong. If I am not enjoying what I am doing it is never going to turn up good! Gosh.... seems it is too much to digest but I think it this way only.
Yes as a matter of fact, but what about those that I hate doing?
When you are in the flow your attention is much more detached and capable of understand and see things that you can imagine. Only because you feel monolithical it doesn’t mean you can’t actually understand far more that you could understand from your environment than in a normal state. So, knowing that, make a special attention to the periferical signs of pleasure and joy that you encounter in each specific action. There might be signs that you don’t even notice, but remembered lately, and create a favorable context.
I believe in being sweet - there is already so much trouble going on around. My stress factor isn't an external one. But the thing is that I feel scared of hurting someone. Probably that is my nature - born like that. :) But that shouldn't be so - the world is rough outside even if I am not rude - practical but at least I shouln't blame myself. I am still trying to identify what can help me in this situation.
So is it more like breaking the flow?
Recognizing and understanding the signs of discomfort can actually help me to maintain my enthusiasm. It is very important to make a note of all the things disturbing me! I just did that today!
This one relates closely to the last one: encourage the favorable contexts of your actions. Once you have identified your favorable contexts try to use them as frequently as you can. If you are a person that enjoy socializing, try to put your @Phone context higher than @Computer context. You will act more often on that context and you will feel less stressed. But if you are more like an introverted person don’t hurt yourself with higher social endeavors and push the @Computer context first. And don’t be guilty about that also. That’s the trick.
Giving priority to what I favor more? How to apply that on my work out regimen?
So is it doing what I feel relaxed doing?
Prioritize emotions instead of thoughts. Once you have consistently integrated the collection habit enjoy your RAM emptiness and don’t feel guilty if you don’t think at anything for 30 seconds. Or 2 minutes. Or 10 minutes. Give yourself the very rare benefit of not thinking and only let your emotions to surface.
Express them in language, physical exercise, specific activities like playing with your kids, talking to your wife or relaxed conversing with your colleagues at work, but let your thinking aside. Your growing emotional energy will seed your future enthusiasm.
Most of the time, I am trying to workout my emotions. They are never at a level. Always flowing over the danger level.
Sounds too much crazy - lil' hard for me to absorb in one go. But I started with a minute.
It is really a rare benefit of not thinking. Amazing. I have never thought about it like this way. But, unfortunately it never happened with me. I overthink too much.
Emotional energy - nice! I tried it this morning and I actually felt my lost enthusiasm coming back!
And the last one: if you don’t feel enthusiastic at all, don't blame yourself. If you don’t blame yourself and let your energies constantly grow. If you constantly consume your feeble resources with guilt and desperate bets on your next enthusiasm state, you will eventually consume every little piece of common sense left and get burned out pretty soon.
I try not to blame myself but I do it all the time. This is getting SICK for me
There is a small difference between blaming myself and taking responsibility of my actions. Yes, I must look at the circumstances before blaming. Whether it is me or someone else to be blamed!
I give up hardwork so easily, I give up on me... Then blame. But I am now doing a strength training - though I got sore shoulders but still pushing myself hard not to discontinue. It has taught me... to not to give up is better than giving up and later on blaming myself.
I was having a really bad time to not to blame myself - finally I came across this huffinton article. Stop blaming yourself in 3 steps. I was literally losing my confidence and trust!
I get disappointed early and start blaming myself even before others say a word to me. I suffer a lot of depression. I even hesitate to try it again. I understand something I am not the reason of the failure. There are X factors as well. I do try but fail and get back to blame game. But, this time I promise to myself I will not blame myself - it will give it another sincere try.
Okay, I won't accuse myself for not doing it fine, but should I stop it altogether .. mean take a break? How to feel enthusiastic about it if I am not at all keen ?
Good luck!
